Techno-Diving Lanzarote

Dive site of Marine Reserve of La Graciosa

We need Marine Reserve permission to dive in this area except in "Las Cañas". We encourage divers to try first this beautiful dive if weather conditions allow us to navigate. For the Marine Reserve requirements we do all paper work for you. We need photocopy Passport or ID and photocopy of diving certification and insurance officially stamped. We should have these documents 2 weeks before of the planned dive day. We process the permissions not only for a certain date but for a wide range of days that allow us to previously plan in case of bad weather conditions.

Las Cañas...

The light contrasts in this caverns formations produce a magic effect increased by the presence of thousands of roncadores (Bastard grunt). Captured pic of a film made in November 2007 by Iván Vilella.

This is the only dive site without permission required because it´s located in the limits of the Marine Reserve, South of La Graciosa Island and North of the cliffs of Famara, Lanzarote. Also is not a very deep dive and there are not strong currents, so it´s an optimum dive for any level.

This dive is a volcanic reef seated in a sandy floor of 18 m deep. We anchor in the top of the reef at a 6 m. The dive show us a magnificent and wide cavern structure that crosses through the reef side to side and in the interior we find surrealistic volcanic forms and the home of thousands of "roncadores" that will swim around us. The diver will be amazed of the beauty of the luminous contrasts and the feeling of being in a natural aquarium. Out of the cavern we can see excellent forms of soft coral.

The Anchors...

Sight of la Graciosa from Mirador del Río in Lanzarote. Only about 1000 inhabitants.

There is a type of big lava step in "El Río", strait that separates the Island of Lanzarote with la Graciosa. We find loads of sea life with many old anchors placed on the sandy reef rock. Often we deal with some current but only in the descend down to 22 m. where the wall will protect us the rest of the dive.

Alegranza´s drop off...

Keep an eye on the blue...

It takes a long bout trip (11 miles), and it is the deepest dive in this area (30 m). In this dive you can find the biggest fishes like barracudas, sting rays, amberjacks and redbanded seabreams.

La Burrera...

This dive site is located between Montaña Clara and La Graciosa

Maybe the most beautifully dive on the Canary islands. The stronger the current the better the dive. Huge variety of sea life and beautiful lava formations at 20 m.
